Cameras and Image IntensifiersLambert Instruments Image Intensifiers
Lambert Instruments Image Intensifiers are Low Light Level camera attachments, generally containing an image intensifier tube integrated with a high voltage
The Lambert image intensifier II25, high-speed camera attachment has been designed to be used in combination with a high-speed camera with 2/3-inch image sensor. The II25 increases the sensitivity of high-speed cameras, and allows their use for low light level applications.
The image intensifier II25, high-speed camera attachment can be used at frame rates up to 100.000 fps. An integrated relay lens couples the image intensifier II25, to the high-speed camera for optimal flexibility in high-speed imaging. The dual image intensifier offers a high adjustable gain and high output brightness and a 25mm input diameter for increased sensitivity.
The LICI - Lambert Cooled Image Intensifier is a special camera attachment in which the complete Image Intensifier is cooled down to -25°C to reduce the noise of the photocathode. The noise reduction factor is at least 100, which means, that in combination with a low noise S20 photocathode, dark count rates below 0,5cnts/sec/cm2 can be achieved. This makes it possible to acquire extremely faint phenomena or counting single events which otherwise would have been masked by the noise of the image intensifier.
The Lambert Image Intensifier II18 is a low light-level attachment that can be coupled between a B/W camera and an objective lens or a microscope by using C-mounts. The Lambert Image Intensifier II18 contains an image intensifier to amplify the incoming light signal and a relay lens to project the output image on the CCD.
