Laser Pump Sources and Seeders

 

 For the MN and MY types two different designs are available. The first is a compact design to be used where space is limited or multiple units are placed side-by-side. The second design is larger and allows operation at a higher output power level. Tight mechanical tolerances make alignment and replacement very easy.

High precision of the mechanical components and very low assembly tolerances guarantee low smile of the emitting plane of the diode lasers. Smile is typically less than 2 µm, with better than 1 µm deliverable upon request. Power is supplied through the heat sink (plus terminal) and the connecting lid (minus terminal). 

 

 

MY-type Fast Axis Collimated Devices

Dilas's  CW single diode bars are available either with (MY-series), or without (MN-series) fast axis collimation. The MY-type incorporates a cylindrical fast axis collimating lens positioned in front of the emitting area. The perfectly shaped micro optic, in combination with the low smile of the laser assembly, guarantees excellent beam characteristics. The fast axis divergence is less than 5 mrad and the efficiency is better than 90%.
