Multiwave Photonics Pulsed fibre MOPA Lasers

An industrial fibre laser which allows partners to achieve unrivalled performance from their laser marking machines

We are pleased to announce that Multiwave Photonics has recently released a new range of pulsed fibre lasers, the MOPA-M series, with average powers of 1, 5PulseMOPA-Amp-OEM.jpg and 10 Watts, and pulse widths of <10 ns to 200 ns. MOPA-M is optimised for materials processing applications, and uses proven Multiwave subsystems for proprietary pulse shapes and shorter pulse widths. This results in an unrivalled level of user control, allowing marks which are unachievable from other systems. Multiwave’s unique unique laser pulse generation technology even offers Pulses on Demand, and it is fully compatible with many commercially available laser materials processing control systems.

Two Pulsed Fiber Laser (MOPA) product families are available:

  • Product family MOPA-M is optimized for materials processing applications
  • Product family MOPA-L is optimized for LIDAR and remote sensing applications, offering short optical pulses with a narrow spectral width at lower repetition rates.
  • Multiwave´s Pulsed Fiber Lasers (MOPA) are provided as compact OEM modules ready for system integration or as CDRH-certified laser systems.

Multiwave Photonics’ Pulsed Fiber Lasers are based on a MOPA architecture (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) that uses proven Multiwave susbsystems and proprietary temporal pulse shaping and gating technologies offering next generation performance and a unique level of user control over operating parameters.

 Multiwaves MOPA series offers:

  • Pulses on demand
  • Generation of arbitrary laser pulse sequences with
    • Direct Triggering of Individual Pulses
    • No Laser Emission between pulses
    • Runtime selection of Pulse Profile
    • Repetion Rate from single shot to 250 kHz
