Bossa Nova Technologies presents a new advanced vision system for non-destructive testing applications
SAMBA is a complete turn-key system that enables the user:
- to measure in real-time the visual appearance (color, gloss and texture) of objects,
- to detect/identify the defects of your sample (quality control),
- to proceed to passive and active polarization imaging (robot vision).
SAMBA provides a real-time and remote measurement of your samples. This patented polarization imaging technique acquires color & gloss images strongly related to the visual assessment. It allows the quantification of the visual appearance of planar and complex 3D surfaces using a polarization analysis of the light scattered by the sample. SAMBA is the first commercially available colour imaging gloss meter.
SAMBA FACE SYSTEM is dedicated to the measurement of gloss on human face for cosmetic, skin care and oral care product evaluation. It is designed to deliver precise and repetitive measurement (using a chin & head rest for precise positioning).
SAMBA FACE SYSTEM permits to quantify gloss objectively, improve formulation and substantiate gloss claims for cosmetic, skin care and oral care product evaluation. Measurement on the entire face (foundation evaluation, make-up evaluation and skin-care products) and on region of interest (ROI) like lips for lipstick gloss evaluation are easily carried on. Efficiency of the applied product can be analyzed over a long period of time (Measurement on the same person at different time) thanks to our precise positionning system.
A dedicated software, Visual Appareance Software (VAS) allows to conduct gloss measurement, manage studies and perform analysis on a large number of panelist.

SAMBA HVASS performs fast and complete analysis of hair visual appearance & objective hair luster measurement and enables product efficacy evaluation, shine claim substantiation & improvement of hair care product formulation.
SAMBA HVASS is a complete turn-key system (hardware + software).
It delivers an automatic measurement of the hair luster and an analysis
of the shine band geometry.

Connected to a computer via a fast firewire connection, SAMBA HAIR System delivers a complete analysis of the hair luster. The shine band is displayed on the screen. An automatic analysis of its geometry is delivered with the luster measurement. 1" (25.4 mm) wide, 6" (152.4 mm) long hair stripe is analyzed.
