Ruby- Non Contact Spectro-colorimeter

Ruby 2 STIL large.jpg

Ruby is a non-contact system for spectral measurements covering the optical spectrum from 400nm to 800nm, which is as suitable for the laboratory as it is for the production line.

Measurements with a spectral resolution of 0.6nm at a frequency of 2000 Hz are possible, and the system can be operated stand-alone, or with an external PC with dedicated software which provides displays of colour difference versus time, tolerance and conformity.

Ruby offers the performance of more expensive non-contact spectrocolorimeters, at highly competitive prices. The standard light source used in the system is a tungsten halogen lamp, but other types of external source may be used.

Ruby is used on production lines in a large variety of industrial applications including

  • Paints and printing Inks
  • Dyes, textiles, fabrics
  • Plastics
  • Printing and paper
  • Cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries
  • Food, beverages, dairy products
  • Agriculture
  • Drugs, biology, gemology
